Whichever application you're posting, please put the character's name, if they're an OC, and their fandom (if any) in the subject line.

Note again that you are allowed to use musebox posts and posts on testrun_box for your sample. In that case, your total amount of tags written will be added up, so the initial post can be shorter than normal for a sample. You're still required to use a prose format and set the sample in the game universe though.

Flat | Top-Level Comments Only

Personality: Cloud is for the most part a visibly calm and collected man, and rarely says something without it being important. He rarely shows any emotion on his face, though when enraged the wing on his shoulder manifests and moves against his will. This is not to say that he is without feelings entirely, he simply hides them from potentially being manipulated.

If there is one thing that drives him it is his relentless search to destroy the being his darkness manifested in to, and he will often ask if anyone has seen the silver haired man and then simply walk away if they do not have the answer he seeks. Cloud is also running from a number of his feelings, namely the warmth and comfort of someone caring about him. He feels that because he accepted the darkness and used it he has to prove himself better than it before he can allow himself to accept those feelings towards another person. He is highly ashamed of his wing and refuses to accept it as a part of himself, and keeps it hidden from view.

Cloud is often at a loss for words when a situation doesn't involve him explaining something or other factually based information, making his speech vary between short clipped statements or full on speeches depending on the subject at hand. He will gladly go on for hours about sword technique or how to care for an animal. He is often more relaxed on a battlefield or in an arena than even privately amongst friends.

Abilities and Skills: Cloud is an incredibly skilled swordsman as well as being stronger than he appears, capable of wielding the Wrapped Sword with both speed and ease despite it's size and weight which he does often with only one hand. He is also capable of flight, though rarely uses it as a mode of long distance transportation. Cloud is most at home fighting and is fairly good at adapting to working with another's style of fighting.

Cloud knows a few low-level spells; Cure, Fire, Thunder, Blizzard and Magnet. He is good with animals, especially those of the avian family.

Sample: He had honestly not meant for things to have progressed this far, hadn't meant to leave the creature who'd attacked him broken and bleeding. Let alone known that it was both intelligent and a child. "I didn't know." he said, voice quiet as he concentrated on a cure spell. He was glad for once he'd taken the time to learn a few from Merlin before being dragged away from Radiant Garden. He was inwardly relieved when the child scrambled back up and ran off.

"You are a healer?" An old woman asked, staring at him.

"No." Because he wasn't. He was a warrior and a mercenary first and foremost, only here because of a job and the off chance he'd find Sephiroth on this heap of junk. "I'm not."

"No, not a healer a--" It was some word he simply couldn't understand, his mind simply couldn't find anything that sounded remotely like it in all of the worlds he'd visited so he simply shrugged and walked away. There was no real reason to stay with the woman or anything else he needed to do in this area.

Maybe he'd see if he could get on to the holodeck and practice swordplay, there weren't any heartless or nobodies here to use as targets.
