Whichever application you're posting, please put the character's name, if they're an OC, and their fandom (if any) in the subject line.

Note again that you are allowed to use musebox posts and posts on testrun_box for your sample. In that case, your total amount of tags written will be added up, so the initial post can be shorter than normal for a sample. You're still required to use a prose format and set the sample in the game universe though.

Zevran's personality:
First, he likes your metaphor and hopes you'll give him the opportunity to show you how tasty he can be with just a little more 'seasoning'. And by seasoning, he means chains and ropes and all manner of naughty things people hide behind closed doors.
With that out of the way:
Zevran enjoys his job. He enjoys the thrill of a fight or a well executed seduction with a clean death. He's not terribly picky in this regard. Both get the blood-pumping and offer a great deal of excitement and depending on who you do them with, both offer opportunities for good sex immediately after. Washing the blood off can wait.
But Zevran is not a completely cold-hearted killer. He will do what the job requires but does not care to bring harm to those who don't deserve it... or those he hasn't been paid to kill. And disapproves of others who do. He sees no reason to fight those he does not have to and will will surrender if he feels it is the better option. If he likes a person, he will even offer his services after the surrender and play for a new team. Quite happily so. Zevran has few loyalites, but if you are a friend (and he thinks you have a better chance of keeping him alive) he is less likely to turn on you and stab you in the back when offered the chance and money.
He also doesn't like lies being told about him and will take offense to such easily. Rather than lash out at the liars, he will immediately correct the lie and expand on the truth. He is very proud of his skills, his looks, and his country. He identifies himself as an Antivan above all other things.
Despite what he says about not caring about other elves, he does have some racial sympathies and will quietly (and depending on the circumstances, not so quietly) approve.
Zevran has been truly, deeply, in love once in his life. A fellow Antivan Crow. He killed the woman because he had been told by one of the guildmasters that she had betrayed the crows, been selling information. She begged him to believe her that she hadn't been, that she loved him, that he didn't need to kill her when he confronted her. He coldly did his duty and she died at his feet, still saying she loved him. It tore his heart out to do so and made him want to die for his own betrayal of her when he found out she hadn't been lying. That she had been set up and it was by the Guildmaster. Because he wanted Zevran to know how little he mattered. That was the only kill he has ever regretted.
But Zevran, despite his self-loathing at the time, has never been the kind of person to take his own life. So he accepted a contract that all the other Crows had avoided for the express purpose of getting himself killed in battle, only to realize he didn't actually want to die. Zevran likes living.
Zevran also likes sex. A lot. And he's not very picky about who he gets it from. But he's also not the kind to pressure someone into the act. He will flirt and connive and keep pushing boundaries about having sex with a person - but if they tell him firmly no, he will back off and keep it friendly. They do have to make it very clear, however, that they are not just playing coy. Or else he'll keep it right up. He does not consider seducing a person an act of forcing himself onto them: they could have said no, he just convinced them to say yes. They were fully willing when they eventually got to the sex part.
Zevran is also not a cheat. He has no issues sharing lovers and bed partners, but if someone is in a relationship that is going places or their S.O. is not likely to want to share... Zevran would rather end any dalliances so he does not contribute to ruining such a fine thing.
As far as letting someone get as close to him as the woman he loved? He does his best to avoid that. Keeping people from getting to close with jokes and charm that make them feel like they're his best friend so they don't have reason to look any deeper.
For the past several years he has been focusing on buying off or killing many of his former guildmasters and assassins in what seems to be an effort to take over the Crows. With the abduction by the pod and his subsequent learning about the universe and all these strange new things, he has fallen back on his training as an assassin to get by. No more hunting the Crows for him. Tragic.
