Whichever application you're posting, please put the character's name, if they're an OC, and their fandom (if any) in the subject line.

Note again that you are allowed to use musebox posts and posts on testrun_box for your sample. In that case, your total amount of tags written will be added up, so the initial post can be shorter than normal for a sample. You're still required to use a prose format and set the sample in the game universe though.

Not since his time on Omega had Garrus seen a place allowed to fall into disrepair -- not just on a maintenance level (though he was certain somewhere Tali was cursing at the very idea of all this waste) but on a personal level.

Rape in the streets was less common, murder in back allies less likely (so far, at least). But there was still that ever present layer of sentient scum here. Bad people who had no desire to try harder to be good. They were everywhere, creeping in like fungus in the dark places. Even the Citadel -- which would have put this miserable heap to shame -- had it's scum.

Or maybe, he allowed himself to think, you're just getting more and more cynical since everything went to hell. But the Relay had guided his ship to this space, and so he was certain there was a purpose to his being here. Everything in his life so far had been moving him-- with Shepard's team-- toward the inevitable. He just didn't know if he'd find it behind another security desk, or through the scope of his rifle.

Either way, it was time to start finding good places to hide sniper's nests in this heap.
