Powershot: Protoman has the ability to channel energy directly from his reactor core into his weapon, allowing it to fire much more potent shots than it would normally be capable of.
Proto Shield: Protoman can deploy an energy shield from his left arm, capable of deflecting or absorbing many different types of weapons fire. However, it has a limited capacity for such, and once the shield's energy is depleted, he will be unable to use it until it has recharged.

True, he had no love for the Fay'lian - from what he'd heard, they had an empire that Albert Wily would probably love to emulate - but nor did he particularly care for the Resistance, despite the cause they professed to serve.
"Let me make this absolutely clear. I will not fight for you. I might fight beside you, but I will not fight for you."
His eyes smoldered as he remembered that one fateful day. "I did that once - I fought for the inhabitants of a city, hoping to free them from the man who held them in thrall. There was not a man among them who would stand by me, who would take up arms and fight by my side. They could easily have done so, but they didn't."
He leaned forward, speaking to this man as he had spoken to his brother long ago.
"If you want my help, show me you can stand for yourself."
